Haddo User Group

For more than half a century Haddo has maintained a proud tradition of high quality artistic output from locally based charitable organisations. Local audiences have enjoyed a rich variety of operas, oratorio concerts, musicals and plays performed and organised by local people of all ages. Several groups under the collective name ‘HUG’ (Haddo User Group) continue to enjoy the excellent rehearsal and theatrical facilities at Haddo, now maintained and run by the National Trust for Scotland.

HUG consists of:

Haddo House Choral and Operatic Society http://haddochoral.org.uk

    Haddo Junior Choirs- http://hjc.haddochoral.org.uk

    Haddo Youth Music Theatre- http://hymt.haddochoral.org.uk

Haddo Children’s Theatre caters for children aged 7 – 15. They rehearse at Haddo on a Saturday afternoon and put on a musical in March annually. There is a short waiting list for this group and a small joining fee. All enquiries to Sheila Reid on 01651 843156.

Haddo is a very special place for the arts and relies on the dedication of volunteers and generous donations and sponsorship to retain its vitality and high standards. All the groups guarantee a warm welcome to new members who are bound to appreciate the friendly atmosphere.

A great way to support the Choral Society is to join the 'Friends of Haddo'. For an annual subscription you will get a range of benefits - choose from 'Sonata,' 'Concerto' or 'Symphony' levels. To request an entry form please email secretary@haddochoral.org.uk

We would also like to hear from you if you would like to be involved artistically in our productions: directing, choreographing, producing, designing, etc. or could help out administratively, or are able to offer financial support.
